Bas Dierselhuis (Twente 2007) made a small analysis about the average speed of top teams in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009.

His conclusion is that the average speeds (in Challenge class) are back on the 2005 level (current Adventure class).

Very nice.. we can see that 21 revolution was as fast as it was two years ago ! Are am i wrong. Would be nice to add the type solar panel type (Silicium, triple junction). Would be a great day anyway to follow the next race on a public spreadsheet anyway. The organisation was not so quick in adding information.
Twente One and 21Revolution could have been much faster on average if they didn't crash/break down...
Maybe next time GPS transmitters will be provided to the teams so that their position can be tracked all day live?
In Challenge class, Tokai, Nuon, Twente, Umicore, Principia, Michigan and Solarworld used GaAs cells, all others silicon, I think.
